Frontera Grill is the sister establishment of the more well known, Topolobampo next door. Both restaurants are from the celebrated Chef Rick Bayless, however this spot focuses more on casual dining. Rick Bayless needs to get back in the kitchen at Xoco the food we got there a few days ago was poor at best. I go the Cochinita Pibil and was a poor of representation of what Chef Bayless stands for. It was basically dried pork on a crusty roll and some poorly pickled red onions...bad!!! My wife got the Torta hogada that was salty and again a poor representation of what chef intended...overall bad!!!
It was as great food. I wish the portions were larger. The drinks were strong ;)
Delicious Sangria & Plátanos. Cool vibe & decor inside. Took off one star because cilantro is already mixed in the guacamole; I wanted to omit it.
Always a great experience. Food and service never disappoints.
Lived up to my expectations. If you love real Mexican food you must go here. I have followed Rick Baylis's career and have always wanted to eat at his restaurant. It did not disappoint. Now he needs to open a location in Florida.
