great cut, friendly people, excellent ambience – i went to fringe having never been and not knowing anyone who had. i took with me lots of photos/drawings of the haircut i wanted, and savannah sat with me, listened, and offered excellent advice. i love my new cut! she did such a terrific job -- it's just what i wanted. and the salon is cute as button on the inside; lovin the decor.
Great hair, great attitude, great place – I've been following Amy around for the last few years and I'm so happy that Fringe has become her spot. First, the haircuts and color are amazing. friendly experts, amazing haircut – What a great place! Fringe is a cute boutique salon next to the Tenament Museum in the Lower East Side. They listened to my specifications and fears about how I wanted my hair cut, and then they offed their own great ideas. In the end I walked out with the wonderful cut and color I have today. I have found my salon.
I went there on recommendation from this sight. I found my hairdresser to be very snobby. She insulted my hair color and gave me the hair cut that I asked her not to saying that this was the way my hair looked best. She also gave me blotchy highlights. I will never go back there.
hooray for great hair! – I started getting my hair cut by Savannah a couple of years ago, in Seattle. When I moved out East, I was so happy to find that she moved to NYC as well! Savannah is fantastic----the girl knows how to cut a head of hair! The best thing about her work is that it all looks fabulous while growing out too.
Favorite Stylist Ever – I love Amy and am happy I found her salon on this site. I am in need of a serious trim and will not let anyone else touch my hair. I have been a loyal follower since 1997 when she made me a natural blonde. I had a great time with my look and all the changes she helped my hair get through. I have yet to go to the salon but have no doubt it will be great. If you want a great cut that will grow out beautifully and make you happy - Make an appointment.
User review by cbabula – Amy's talent defies description. I have followed her from one salon to the next for 6 years and am so glad that she finally is on her own. The salon is an eclectic delight, decorated with antiques and modern art across from the tenement museum. I can't imagine letting anyone else near my hair!
