A country drive through Hereford leads to our two hundred acre farm in Northern Baltimore County. Surrounded by three ponds, the view is breathtaking year-round.Our family started the Friendly Farm Restaurant in Upperco, Maryland in 1959. Originally located in the existing farm house, the present building was opened in 1964 to accommodate a growing clientele. Dining is family style. Excellent food and service, nice size crab cakes. Didn't have a long wait to order. The country side is very beautiful in this area of Maryland, I will return.
I tried the surf and turf. The crab cake was fair to good. The filet mignon was less than good. In fact it was one of the worse filets I have ever had. Cooked the way I wanted however the steak was full of fat and grissel. Service was good and the other three with me were satisfied with their dinner

Best crab cakes ANYWHERE. Food is outstanding down to the ice cream. They recently remodeled and that to is perfect
We were celebrating my husband birthday the food was excellent.
Always the best place to bring some family members and have a meal that we talk about for months. The only thing I miss are the corn muffins and the pigs across the drive.
The food and service are always first class. Refills of the side dishes and drinks are nearly immediate.
