Happy customer I have been a customer of FRPH for over 8 years. The front office staff always make me feel very welcome and actually know me by my cat's name as well as they know me by my name. They are open 6 days a week for 12 hours per day and that really helps for getting an appointment at a time convenient for me! Dr. P is not a slick salesperson type of vet - in fact, he has had to deliver more bad news to me than good over 8 years BUT he is always factual and honest. I love getting an estimate for services before they... read more

No Complaints From This Happy Customer I researched several vets before I made the final decision that Friars Road Pet Hospital was the best choice for my dog. I was impressed from our first visit on and have had no complaints since then. They made my dog, Shiloh, feel loved and adored. They are very reasonable in cost and will make whatever accomodations they have to if the need is of an urgent matter. I appreciate that they provide an estimate of what the costs will be before they proceed with any tests, treatments, medica... read more

Do NOT take your pet here The staff are rude, unprofessional, and fail to review your pet's treatment adequately or discuss treatment options/alternatives with you. They (temporarily) paralyzed our dog and caused him a lot of pain from what should have been a simple procedure. After doing some of my own research, I found out that there were other treatments available that would have been better. PROS: None CONS:

ea I WILL NEVER BE BACK HERE! I took my little Westie dog in for 4 vaccinations yesterday; the distemper, parvovirus, corona and bordetella (all booster shots). He was given all 4 shots over 30 hours ago. My dog is in distress. He has two (2) very large bumps on each hip. He is not eating or drinking much at all. I had to bring water to his lips. I have had to carry him up the stairs. He is lethargic, weak, and he was shaking earlier today. He can barely move, and we're 30 hours after shots. I called that OFFICE this morning... read more

The Perfect Place To Take Sick Little Fido I would hope that your pet never needs to visit a pet hospital or a clinic other then for routine check-ups or shots, but should your pet ever get sick, whether its an illness, flea or tick problem, or a skin disorder, the Friars Road Pet Hospital is the place to take your pet. Their caring staff is well trained to handle difficult pets, including un-trained pets who dont exactly behave in a controlled manner in their facility. The prices are very reasonable compared to other busine... read more

Tritt Sarah L Dvm - Friars Road Pet Hospital is now Brian Peterson DVM What do you think about Tritt Sarah L Dvm - Friars Road Pet Hospital? Sarah Tritt isn't there Brian Peterson DVM is the vet. Took my puppy in to get fixed and he came back broken. For 4 days he was twitching and jerking and going crazy clearly uncomfortable. He had more than 7 razor burns from when he was shaved. I have had pets my whole life and I always get them fixed I've never seen anything like this. Never even met the doctor and when I called to tel... read more

Uneven care... 4 months, countless tests, and hundreds of dollars later my dog still had exactly the same problems under the 'care' of Dr. Twitt.

skilled and experienced professional I just looked up my vet's phone number and was surprised to see the negative input here. I am compelled to make some observations: Dr. Peterson has a DVM from Davis, about two decades of experience, and a houseful of rescued animals. For well over a decade he has overseen the care of our four dogs and four cats. He always explains options, and, as pointed out below, he is anything but a salesman. Charges are all explained and itemized in advance. We've only required one surgery (dog spay)... read more
