From an 'insiders' view: As an employee at FRPH, I'm surprised and saddened to see the poor reviews from Pam L, Carolyn and N.M. We take pride in our treatment of both the animals and our customers and aim to provide the best service possible at all times. I have little doubt that any concerns, had they been brought to our attention, would have had far different outcomes and had sunnier reviews given the chance to address them. As with every service, its important to do your research to find the right vet for you. We encoura... read more
vet 4 life Io have heard wonderful thing about thisvet. Has a strong history in the community and a good reputation. I have taken my pets there and would take them back
uncaring staff I took my cat for a check up and the receptionist wasn't at the front when I got there, or when I left! It was the strangest feeling when I left and yet she saw that I was finished with the vet. Perhaps because I had a coupon for a free checkup as a first time client, they felt that they didn't need to be friendly?? The doctor seemed rushed and disinterested in my pet. I felt that they could care less when I was there, and could care less if I came back. There wasn't anyone in the waiting room when I arrived o... read more
Best care ever I can highly recommend this vet. They have taken care of my pets for years, and I have never had any bad experiences. My dog Max and my cat Blue are "senior" pets, and thanks to Dr. Peterson's excellent care they are both still healthy and happy!! I find the staff to be very caring and knowledgeable, and I always feel welcome. If you want the best care for your animals, you should go to this vet!!
ea I WILL NEVER BE BACK HERE! I took my little Westie dog in for 4 vaccinations yesterday; the distemper, parvovirus, corona and bordetella (all booster shots). He was given all 4 shots over 30 hours ago. My dog is in distress. He has two (2) very large bumps on each hip. He is not eating or drinking much at all. I had to bring water to his lips. I have had to carry him up the stairs. He is lethargic, weak, and he was shaking earlier today. He can barely move, and we're 30 hours after shots. I called that OFFICE this morning... read more
Do NOT take your pet here The staff are rude, unprofessional, and fail to review your pet's treatment adequately or discuss treatment options/alternatives with you. They (temporarily) paralyzed our dog and caused him a lot of pain from what should have been a simple procedure. After doing some of my own research, I found out that there were other treatments available that would have been better. PROS: None CONS:
Happy Customer My family has been taking our dog and cats here for as long as I can remember. I love the different entrances for dogs and cats. The lobby is a great place for the animals to interact with others, including the office cat. Receptionists, techs and vets have always been helpful and very caring. They even send out condolence cards when your pet passes away. A top-notch vet.
Overcharges My cat was having an allergic reaction where her fur was falling out in her haunch areas. In addition to the office visit fee, I was charged for a test to see if she had scabies - only to tell me that there was no evidence of scabies, but she probably had it. The biggest kicker was that the medicine prescribed was to be given once a month for 3 months, but they only had 6 month packets, so instead of $60, I had to pay $120 without using the second half which had an expiration date. Won't go back.
Spaying is $400???? So, I got a referral from SNAP (spay and neuter action program) to bring in my cat to get spayed for $50. My husband calls me to tell me its going to be $400. So I talk to the bimbo at the desk and she tells me they have to do a freaking blood test, stool test, nail trimming, blah blah blah. So finally I tell her that we are only paying for the spaying since I have a healthy kitten and she doesn't need any bells and whistles. My friend who works for SNAP said they do hundreds of spays a day on their bus w... read more
