Straddling the Schuylkill Highlands, the 7,730-acre park is the largest block of contiguous forest between Washington D.C. and New York City. The forests, lakes, wetlands and fields are a destination for the people of southeast Pennsylvania to hike, fish, camp and bike.

This is a great State Park. I talked to the Ranger today and what he said is spot on... French Creek is a hidden gem. People forget about it and sometimes they travel way further to go to a park that isn't even half as nice. I just highly recommend this park.
Nice this time of year with the leaves changing. Trails are marked well.
It’s simply delightful. Camping, hiking, biking and leaf peeping are the tip of the iceberg.
