Once an industrial complex for the fledgling United States of America, today French Creek State Park is an oasis for people and wildlife. Straddling the Schuylkill Highlands, the 7,730-acre park is the largest block of contiguous forest between Washington D.C. and New York City. The forests, lakes, wetlands and fields are a destination for the people of southeast Pennsylvania to hike, fish, camp and bike.

A great place to go hiking and or camping or just to go and enjoy the nature which is very plentiful in a great setting !!!
Took my kids fishing. The park ranger saw my son catch his first fish and can over to give him a fish guide. Awesome experience.
ALways a great facility, the rangers are courteous and helpful. Sites are spacious and easy to pull into. My only issue was the large amount of poison ivy on a tree by the site. Perhaps it would be worthfhile if it was sprayed as kids could get get a bad case of poison ivy.
