The name of this restaurant has nothing to do with actual people named Frankie or Johnnie, in fact the words are old passwords between revelers and managers during Prohibition. 'Frankie' was used at the door, and if the reply was 'Johnnie', the drinking could start. The food was excellent. The service also was exceptional. Prices a little high but we truly enjoyed our experience.

It's ok . Nothing special .We had the 2 for one porterhouse steak . It's good .Cooked the way we wanted Medium.
Great find in NYC. We enjoyed the meal and the service. Beautiful building too!!! Would recommend!

Service was horrible. Never checked on us . Never poured our wine or asked how our meal was. Not that good shrimp scampi and bisque below part. Server failed to asked if we wanted dessert. Manager seemed bothered we had a problem!
Terrible service. Food just okay. Manager was not helpful. Just kept saying, that is not who we are. Well guess what? That is who you were tonight! That about sums it up. Have had so much better elsewhere. Will not go back and will alert our hotel that their recommendation was not up to par. They have given us great suggestions in the past.
