When my local ophthalmologist recommends emergent same day laser for glaucoma, I sought another opinion with Doc Clark. Uncomfortable with the 1st quick exam, zero explanation, and quick to pull the laser trigger, Dr Clark extensive exam, and calm demeanor was a welcome opinion and relief. He confirmed that laser was not needed.
The care and compassion this eye doctor demonstrates to my elderly father with dementia often brings tears to my eyes. Usually health care is unkind and cold towards him. My father looks forward to his visits with Dr Clark and actually recognizes him.
Moving to Bucks County required finding a new eye doctor. The 1st exam involved a sales pitch for cataract surgery requiring costly laser and "special" lens designed for me. My second opinion with Dr Clark which was longer, engaging, left me with the option of elective nature of surgery. Final results with cataract surgery did not require either laser nor "special " lens. I no longer need glasses. I highly recommend this very kind professional
Through a simultaneous laser cataract surgery and eye stent Dr Clark was able to fix both my cataracts and glaucoma. I was previously on 3 drops for my glaucoma. Best experience with a doctor
I am both appalled and rapturous to witness the recent care of my mother. She went to a so called cataract specialist with all the awards and diplomas and pompous, smug attitude to match who recommended , no insisted, laser cataract removal with a "special " crystal lens. So mom wasn't happy and doctor blames her. I witnessed the exam with Dr Clark who was kind, thoroughly engaged, and recommended ultrasound removal with insurance covered lens. She now sees better than ever.
I agree that the US health care is in a trash pile, especially in the Phila. area. I also agree that Dr Clark and his entire practice is the only oasis of total compassionate care with patients interests and dedication to best outcome. I come from a background of Health Care Management and have seen many practices.
It is refreshing to know that medical care in the US isn't totally in the trash pile. This is the first example of a patient centered compassionate medical experience I have encountered in the last 10 years. Dr Clark sorrounds himself with the best!
Dr. Clark is a rockstar as a surgeon and Dr. He is a throwback to the old time doctor that cares about his patients and their needs he guided me through very difficult times with my eyes when others offered no options he is always available and truly cares about his patients needs
The care shown my son as an inpatient at Abington Hospital by Dr Clark following a car crash was a marvelous sight. Glass was meticulously removed from his eye, and Dr Clark saw him every day until he was sure there was no further damage as his eye was swollen shut. Don't see this dedication any more in medical doctors
