I am a new patient I called him this a Saturday late in evening for eye pain from a foreign body. I work in construction. He was kind enough to see me early Sunday morning around 530. Crazy accommodations. Saw me, removed foreign body from my eye with instant relief. He was so delicate and quick. In past, eye doctors used drills with resultant severe pain. Found out later he saw me so early to release my pain as he was traveling to New York to see a newly born granddaughter. The best doctor.
I do value this doctor. Over the course of several days I was getting increasingly expanding hazy vision. I tried to reach my eye doctor on Saturday but he was not accessible, just a voicemail. He never called back, so I was thankfully directed to Dr Clarke, who drove back from New York, saw me late Saturday evening, found a retinal separation in the back of my eye, and saved my vision by sending me to Wills Eye Hospital, where the separation was surgically fixed. Dr Clarke is the best.
BEWARE! This is a doctor with poor time management skills! As a new patient with eye issues, I showed up for an appt. at 10AM and LEFT without seeing hide nor hair of the doctor at 11:35! Find a GOOD doctor that cares about your eyesight as much as you do! I certainly prefer a doctor who cares.
Astonishing patient care and follow up. I would recommend Dr Francis Clark and offices to anyone. I never felt rushed or like I was just a number in my appointments. Their professionalism, courtesy and expertise is nothing short of first class. For a specialist operating surgeon who seems so incredibly busy, popular and in demand, he has laser focus, fixation, and obsession with your needs and concerns when your our in the room as a patient, quite a remarkable gift.
Sent to see Dr Clarke as an emergency from Abington Hospital for metal in eye- occupational hazard as roofer. Walked into a crowded waiting area, but was amazed at The efficiently I was seen, minimal wait--- very rare for eye doctor wait time. Impressed how quickly and smoothly the metal was gently removed by Dr Clarke, just lifted off the eye. Used to drills and pain. Office to go for future eye needs on these eyes.
The care and kindness of Dr Clark and staff toward my parents is unheralded and unfortunately not seen anywhere else. They both suffer from dementia but are treated with the dignity and personal card that they deserve.
Without warning, I wound up in the Emergency Room in a hospital on the weekend on the Main Line suburbs of Philadelphia for severe eye pain. Fortunately, the Emergency Room doctor reached Dr Clark as the ophthalmologist for the hospital was not available. Despite the fact that Dr Clark was not on staff and not on call he directed the doctors to order tests that indicated I had temporal arthritis, and could have went blind, according to the Emergency Room specialist
I strongly recommend this office and a cataract surgeon Dr. Francis Clark due to my previous experience. my mother informed me that she had signed up for cataract surgery with an ophthalmologist in Philadelphia with the financing involved which included money out of her pocket for laser technology and a crystal lens. I went looking for a local Wills Eye surgeon and was directed to Dr. Clark and his practice. Dr. Clark recommended against the crystal lens as he Felt this was not the best iol.
I think of it as a gift I saw Dr Clark and his work force for a crisis a week ago. Sudden serious eye agony started and my own ophthalmologist was not accessible and his office expected me to go in the city to Wills Eye Hospital. Dr Clark sat tight for me and left his office open. I was welcomed by a most pleasing staff. I was in wonder of the exam and innovation. Dr Clark was extremely proficient and engaging and discovered I had progressed, longstanding glaucoma.
