Food was outstanding. Extremely loud, so conversation was difficult but good service and the food was just incredible. Wish they would open up a branch in Atlanta!

Was in DC last weekend and this restaurant came highly recommended by friends. We didn't know that reservation were preferred, but still was seated fairly quickly, especially for a weekend. Our group of three went for breakfast and ordered the chicken and waffles, pancakes, along with the scrambled eggs and sausage. Everyone likes what they ordered. Our food was horrible. For fear of getting sick, I hardly eat my breakfast of eggs, ham and grits. Unfortunately I still feel sick and also the same for my wife, who also had an egg meal. The poached eggs tasted vinegary and had a strange texture. The inch thick chunk of ham was dry and salty. The grits tasted strange. The waiter said they were made with cream. I was in DC this week for a work conference. Kept hearing mention of the restaurant so on the last night I was there I wanted to get out and have a nice meal. So I decided to check this restaurant out to see if it was all that it had been hyped up to be. It was pretty busy, but I was able to find a seat at the bar.
