Your #HowEyeSeeIt campaign is offensive. People who are blind, Who are competent, independent, and successful have a lot more to offer and definitely don't look like fools for three minutes. With the appropriate training and opportunities we live an amazing life. I don't support this fundraiser. Please be careful where your money goes.

The #HowEyeSeeIt campaign is a shameful way to raise money. It exploits the public's fear of blindness and harms real blind people by damaging public perceptions of us as full participating members of society.
I am a sighted friend of a blind person who has let me know about the blindfold technique that is being used in fundraising, and I find it incredibly harmful, creating and/or fomenting our ignorance and misperceptions about blind people's ability to care for children and themselves and do what they competently do that we cannot if blindfolded.
The #HowEyeSeeIt campaign is an example of moral corruption. Any organization willing to profit at the expense of an entire class of people isn't worth contributing to The campaign it's self is bad enough, but Foundation Fighting Blindness is actually blocking blind people from having an active dialogue with them about the inappropriate nature of likening AC in person wearing a blindfold for a few minutes to life as a blind person.
