Love this place! I had to put my 11 year old beagle down due to lymphoma this week. Doctor Heidi Tijsseling was very quick to identify her illness and did not recommend many of the costly procedures in attempts to try and prolong her life a few months. I was so impressed with the staffs compassion and doctor Heidi's kindness. This was a very sad day for me and my family and I am so thankful for the staff at Folsom Vet Hospital. Thank you again Heidi!

I just had to bring my last Pug to Folsom Vet as she started having major health issues Friday afternoon. I worked with Dr. Fisher Friday and Saturday to diagnose and aggressively treat her diagnosis of pneumonia. Dr. Fisher and the entire staff of FVH put their all into helping her but the disease and 14 years of age took its toll on her and she passed away peacefully in her sleep Sunday night. I couldn't have asked for more from them as they've always had my pet's total care in their heart. As I've said before, FVH is the ... read more

Folsom Veterinary Hospital is Fantastic! Dr. Shirley Fischer performed a miracle on our Schnauzer Otto 8 years. His intestines were completed impacted as a result of pulverizing a ham bone. Dr. Fischer opened him up, cleaned it all out and sewed him back up. During his stay there were torrential rain storms. Dr. Fischer would come every night to check on him. March 2014 Otto had 2 cysts on his back cut during grooming. They were oozing and bleeding. We took him to Banfield. Ran tests, diagnosed more tests and prescribe antib... read more

We love this place! We've been FVH for over 7 years and our dog loves going there. The front desk staff are super friendly! We've recommended this hospital to our friends and family. Every time we drop off our dog, Sugar, the front desk staff welcomes her like it's one of their own. FVH is practically our dogs second home! One time when it was Sugar's birthday and we were on vacation the staff made a dog birthday cake for her! I recommend FVH to all pet owners! And the prices are great, too!

This place is phenomenal! We have been a customer of theirs for over 8 years. Dr. Fischer is the most wonderful vet we have ever visited. Our little poodle, Maggie, is a rescue dog and had some issues with her hip. The first episode we had to take her to the Sacramento Emergency Vet and that was a terrible experience and very expensive! No personal caring at all. The second time Dr Fischer did her surgery and was the most caring person I could ever imagine. After we brought her home she called numerous times a day even throu... read more

I want to highly commend the vets, especially Dr. Heidi, and all the wonderful staff at Folsom Vet. They have cared for our 2 cats and 2 dogs with such love and compassion that they need to be rewarded. Kudos to all the staff as you all so deserve it.!!!!!!

Sadly, we made the incredibly tough decision to euthanize our Schnauzer Riley based on his age, declining health and most importantly his overall quality of life. We believe Riley had a happy life and certainly provided to our family great years of fantastic enjoyment. We miss him so much! But on to the review of this GREAT caring place. I tend to judge differently...on actual results and the love and care your pet receives. They get an A+ that covers 12 years!! Never did I doubt their ability and credibility. My family woul... read more

Our Corgi had her teeth cleaned at this hospital. They did a wonderful job! Daisy now smells as fresh as a daisy. She is feeling better and we enjoy taking her on car rides. No more breathmints... They were very kind to her. Lots of treats!
