My 4 year old has decided she LOVES gem mining. We have been to several in the area and have decided that Foggy Mountain is our favorite. The gems are GREAT, the people are friendly, the rocks are not full of mud, the water is actually running and the staff is attentive, knowledgeable and helpful. I don't know how they are staying in business. We sifted through one medium bucket and now have enough gems to put a downpayment on a new house.... at least it feels that way! : ) Thanks again!
I received the most beautiful earrings from the gems that we mined here. It was an awesome experience.
My husband and I had a great time picking through our bucket. We found several nice stones. The staff is friendly, helpful, and knowledgable. We were offered choices regarding having our our gems cut and/ or set, but no hard sell. A very enjoyable experience!
We had such a fantastic time! If you have not been gem mining yet, this is THE place to go. Very friendly staff, tons of gems to find, and kids and adults will enjoy this experience. I am excited to receive the jewelry I had made in a few weeks! Thank you! My son cannot wait to come back.

The guys and gal up there were great to my sister and I today! I definitely will come back if I'm in the area again. The 70 dollar bucket is well worth the money and I would definitely suggest it, if not something higher!
