A former US Navy debarkation point built in 1942, Fleet Landing lay vacant after World War II. Located on the eastern waterfront side of the Historic District, the 6000 square-foot (557 square-meter) concrete building was purchased by Tradd Newton in 2004. RecommendedAlways a destination restaurant for us, Fleet Landing has great waterfront views and wonderfully prepared meals throughout the day in a historic setting. Excellent variety of unique seafood recipes on the classic fare.

Maybe it was the 12 year wait or the 8 hour drive but the fleet landing just wasn’t where it use to be. My drink came with 3 ice cubes and I never got another ice cube. Service was not great. When we talked to the manager the server just kept saying that every dish was the best of Charleston. He even made comments as we left. It would be another 12 years before we try again. We had high hopes!
