First off the historic aspect of the building caught my attention. It's not the original structure as if it were the maintenance upkeep would be astronomical but the exterior does it justice. Now for the reason you go there. Food Beverage and locale, not in any particular order on that note. I had the shrimp and grits. This I'm thinking is a signature dish as instead of cheese, they have a gravy that is textured just right as not to water down the grits but keep the grits from gelling in the bowl. I had shrimp and grits at Fleet Landing 2 years ago on a business trip to Charleston and could hardly wait for a repeat. Finally got back there this week and OMG it was out-of-this-world fantastic! Great food, friendly wait staff, gorgeous location right on the harbor. Outstanding experience!

I stop in every visit that I can! You can't beat the view and I have NEVER had ANYTHING that wasn't delicious. Try "The McLeod" cocktail, it's my favorite of their delicious drink menu. Today we had a fried green tomato appetizer and our group had the flounder sandwich, oyster platter and crab cake sandwich. All wonderful
