They use a hard tough guy approach. Doesn’t work for me. They try to balance that with the group discussions. I felt uncomfortable and I know everyone else did. If they’d back off we would be able to be ourselves and support one another. Maybe that’s the plan, to not let us bond and feel like we’re ok. Well that worked. In the end I felt supported by the group but never able to really share because I was too afraid to do so with the counselors.

My daughter was on a short vacation and was placed in this behavioral health facility. Dr Maclarusso discharged her at night without transportation, phone charger, luggage, hairbrush, contact lenses, and most importantly, without her medication! Can you imagine leaving a hospital like that? Patients typically cannot be discharged from a medical hospital without a proper caregiver and here they discharge their psych patients like this with absolutely no regard for aftercare!
