I got a letter claiming that my Insurance company denied that I had coverage and that I owe the state $150 to reinstate my registration. My Insurance company says they have not had any correspondence with @FLHSMV regarding my insurance. At this point I wonder, is simple incompetence on the part of a clerk or is it an orchestrated attempt to increase the office revenue?
I was blown away after my first trip to the Florida DMV. I had lived in Mi. for decades and it was an all day trip to the DMV no matter what the reason. When I arrived in Fl. and made my first visit to get my DL and register my vehicle etc. I was so surprised I was in and out in no time and it has been that way every time I have had to go there. Website is broken, no way to call customer service as their lines say they are too busy and hang up on you. Way to go FLDHSMV! Require people to get documentation and pay money to you by law, but then don't provide the services to receive the money. Not everyone has ALL DAY to sit in your overcrowded and understaffed offices, which is WHY there are online systems to handle it. Budget for your online systems? More than $1.5 million dollars from Florida Tax Payers. Every. Single. Year. Actual Value today? Zero.

The people that work for this system need to be better trained and the phone line system, especially for trying to call the regional office in Tampa, REALLY NEEDS TO BE UPDATED!!!! I have been trying to get my title fixed for 4 days now and all I am getting is bullshit. Nobody knows whats going on, so I am getting different answers and NOBODY wants to call me back. Called about a reckless driver road raging on on a Kia. This person did so for 3 to 4 miles endangering everyone around them including me. They refused to take a report because they didn't see it. Your Tax payor dollars at work for you... useless...
Worked With The troops,for 4 years,part time job! Got accident records from them for the People, went at 84 Rd. West of 441! They were so kind, still are!
