My longtime orthopedist referred me to Dr. Fischer when I needed hip replacement surgery. I'm so very glad he did. I found Dr. Fischer to be both extremely knowledgeable and very caring. I have a profound respect for Dr. Fischer. Initial visit he was pleasant and gracious; Taking the necessary history and diagnostic testing (x rays) Upon receiving the result he discussed options (i.e) physical therapy, pain management before discussing surgery. Dr. Fischer never pushed surgery; he emphasised that the decision regarding my treatment had to be mines which was surprising since most surgeons opt for surgery. Dr. Stuart Fischer and the Summit Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine(SOSM) staff are phenomenal. I ruptured my left achilles and called multiple offices for my initial check up. SOSM was the only office that scheduled me in immediately. Staff is extremely helpful, overtime they would know me by name. As for Dr. Fischer he’s a great doctor. I previously ruptured my right achillies 6 years ago and had it repaired by another doctor. That technique left a very large scar. Dr. Fischer was my second opinion doctor. I knew without a doubt, on my first visit with him, that he was the Doctor for me! He took the time to both show me the images of my injury, showed me a video on repairing the injury, and explaining in detail what to expect, including the pain and sleepless nights! For ten years I suffered every time I decided to go running or work out due to a condition I had on my left foot. I looked for help and advise from several specialists. In preparation for the surgery Dr. Fischer provided me with details of what to expect and showed me what the surgery would be like in order to decide if this was an option for me. Dr. Stanley Fischer did a great job in repairing my right arm injury that I sustained from a fall. He was able to expertly repair both my bicep and subscapularis tendons, along with a rotator cuff tear. I am so very close to a 100% recovery in less than six months!
