Before my appointment with Dr Fischer I had right hip pain and was walking with a limp for about 2 years. Gradually I went from a person who was very active to someone who couldn't walk a block. I am very grateful for choosing Dr. Fischer for my total knee replacement. The outcome of the surgery exceeded my expectations. Dr. Fischer also performed a very successful total hip replacement for me several years ago. Dr Fischer, his staff and the Overlook medical team were thoughtful and compassionate pre and post surgery.
Unprofessional, dismissive and condescending. He made bizarre assumptions, jumped to false conclusions and made offensive gratuitous remarks that someone with a big chip on their shoulders against renowned surgeons would make. He couldn’t get my MRI or CT scans opened. He spoke to me as if I didn’t understand how computers work. I’m an alumna of MIT. The entire visit was a waste of my time and my insurance coverage and my copay. Wish I could turn back time and retract the entire visit.

Could not be more happy with the results of my TWO knee replacements over the past year. Dr. Fischer and his staff made the process easier than could have been expected and the Overlook Medical Center is the best hospital that I have been in (unfortunately I have been in quite a few). Dr. Fischer knowledge and his technique for knee replacements have even impressed my physical therapists. Highly recommend Dr. Fischer and Overlook Medical Center.
I had a torn meniscus. Dr. Fischer repaired it and with physical therapy, the knee is doing great. I was easily getting around after just one week. It is now six weeks and it is just about back to normal.
I recently had a total hip replacement done by Dr. Fischer and it was a excellent experience. I appreciated the time he spent with me before the procedure answering all my questions, as well as his calming demeanor throughout the whole process. Dr. Fischer's office staff is also very thorough and professional as they helped me clear a number of pre-surgical hurdles in this COVID-19 environment. Definitely a five-star experience !!!
Dr. Fischer is an excellent diagnostician, doctor and surgeon who has treated my family for over 40 years. He has treated us for the whole spectrum of orthopedic issues: breaks, sprains, tears and most recently, a total knee replacement. He counsels and treats you as he would a member of his own family. His wonderful staff are very professional and efficient. I highly recommend Dr. Fischer for any of your orthopedic needs.
