Really liked the atmosphere and we had excellent service. We sat at the bar while waiting for the reception to start. Nice place.
Anything on the lava rock is great! The bistro steak can be excellent if you get a good cut of meat. My sons get it every time, I would say about 85% of the time it is awesome. My favorite are their mashed potatoes, rolls and pizza. And we love it there in the summer on the patio.
I've been a few times and the food and service were always very good. Nothing. Negative to say and it's nice to have a good lunch spot near my office. The pot roast poutine is a must and the goat cheese and pesto spread is great. I just had the fondue the other day and the flavors were quite excellent.
We have often enjoyed this restaurant in the past but today the service was more then unacceptable. We could not get either bartender, in particular B David, to wait on us even after several attempts were made to gain his attention. They had other guests at the bar but they were not that busy. When we indicated we were not going to order because of the poor service, B David asked if we were going to Russ's. We were seated in the bar walkway! We ordered sandwiches and it took half an hour to get our food! I paid $12 for a club sandwich and chips (it was good but not worth the money )! My son ordered the Waldorf wrap and sweet potato fries, another $14 (he enjoyed it but again not worth the money), my husband ordered the triple BBQ sandwich and Parmesan truffle fries another $14 ( did not like either)! Always excellent food, we had Brian tonight for our server, super nice and knowledgeable about the menu, spot on suggestions! I had the lobster mac n cheese, delicious!
