Best food in the valley...if not LA too!!! – I love this place. After several meals here, I guess you could say we have become regulars at this point! Honestly, I have lived in San Francisco and New York and I have to say that Firefly has some of the best food anywhere!! Worth the drive! – This is one of my favorites! Not often can you say that a bar is "romantic" but this place is so comfy and beautiful. Great for a small group, or a few couples. The front bar and sitting area is like an old comfy library, with leather chairs and walls of books, and the "outside" dining area has a great atmosphere with sheers, inset wall sconces and a center fireplace. Not for large parties... – I've been to Firefly in the past and enjoyed it with two friends. Have some friends coming to town this weekend and wanted to take them with other LA peeps so they could check it out. I called Wednesday to make a reservation for Saturday and was told by Iris that they don't take reservations for 8 people. I was so shocked by her reply that I let it go. A regular's opinion.... – I live just off of Ventura Blvd. in Studio City, so needless to say, Firefly is sort of my "local". I am in there once to twice a week and always impressed with the warmtth and attentiveness of the staff, the quality of the food and wine, and the clientele. I have done everything from stop in alone for a quick bite at the bar, to dining early in the cabanas with my husband and 2 children. A new favorite!!! – A large group and I went to Firefly the other night for a family celebration. We were a party of eight and were seated in the back of the restaurant and were initially quite disappointed to find out that they allow smoking in certain areas of the restaruant. best staff and atmosphere – My husband and I rarely go out because we have three little ones at home. We finally got a babysitter and made a reservation for Firefly. We had heard so many wonderful things about it. and were excited to try it. I had a wonderful conversation with the woman who took my reservation. Incredible Staff: top-bottom, fantastic atmosphere, topped off by the best dishes in the valley – As a new regular, having just moved to the valley less than 2 years ago, I can't say enough about the firefly. I live south of Ventura and have the lovely pleasure of being able to walk briskly and arrive at the the front door within minutes. Horrible Management, do not eat here – Unfortunately, Firefly is so poorly managed that it doesn't matter that the food is good, I won't be returning. I went with a large group this past Saturday night and made sure to make reservations well in advance. The restaurant called the day of our dinner reservation to confirm and had recorded the reservation incorrectly. In order to accommodate everyone, they said they'd have to seat us at two different tables an hour apart, but that they'd most likely be able to seat the later tab... read more
