Trendsetters flock to this hidden Valley gem for its innovative lounge and dining experience. Housed in a building overgrown with ivy and no sign, Firefly's interior is divided between an indoor "British library" lounge and an outdoor patio dining area. Each section offers a full bar and serves dinner followed by a late-night menu. Expect to be amazed by the inventive New American cuisine featuring seasonal organic ingredients. Menu highlights include the Fried Olives, Fried Figs, Calamari, fish and meat mains. Note that smo... read more

Cool scene.. Dining service subpar – Considering it was a slow night, it was hard to understand why the server did not ask for our entree order till 50 min into our appitizer. Then the got my ribeye order wrong with a fillet. When they came back to me they even said someone was eating my ribeye at the other table and they could not take it back. That was a funny one ;) I am an easy going guy so I took it for a grain of salt. They did however get me a dessert but did not communicate that till the end as we thought they misord... read more
Finally a place to go on Sundays in the valley!! – I live right down the street from Firefly and have been a semi-regular customer for about three years now. Luckily, we just discovered that they have opened on Sundays. We have two small kids, and although my husband and I love dining at Firefly without the kids during the week, it is great to know that are local spot, (in it's more subdued Sunday fashion) is a great stop for us and our little ones for an early Sunday dinner. The food and service are always amazing!!
Don't waste your time – This used to be a pretty decent place. It's gone downhill. They have an obnoxious and lame manager running the place. They make people wait in line except for people with whom this manager has a financial incentive to let in. These people are as obnoxious and lame as the manager. The crowd is pretty old too - I'm talking 50's. My advice is, if there's a line, don't bother. Head on over to NextDoor or Laurel Tavern where the crowd and atmosphere is WAY better.
kinda whack – I live right by here and love going for a drink...but come on... the prices are REALLY high. I mean, its good food- but SMALL portions. Do what i did, eat first- then come have an appy and a glass of wine. The service is pretty lame for how much they charge. And we DONT appreciate you adding 20% tip for our party of eight to the bill right off the bat. 20 percent isnt even standard. I could understand mandatory 17 percent or something...but giving yourself 20%? PlEASE. Thats obviously the only way the waiters m... read more
Relaxing and Unique – I've been here a couple of weeks and this is by far the best night spot in the valley. With several different atmospheres you can easily find a corner of your own to share some drinks and good conversation. This so far has become my home bar.
Firefly, a cool spot? Not so much! – If I could post this review without giving them a star at all, I would have. They're totally not even worth the one star. My best friend and I decided to pop by Firefly last wknd for some drinks and some girl talk since it was near her house. There was a crowd of about 5 or 6 ppl outside and a doorman who seemed to be more concerned with himself that anyone who was there to spend money. While my girlfriend spoke to valet, I jumped out to see if there was a wait for drinks. Apparently my a... read more
Beautiful Spot for Sunday Dinner – I was so pleasantly surprised to find that my favorite hang out opened for Sunday dinner. It's really romantic and the food is awesome. I love how calm it is on Sunday, it gets pretty crazy during the week and sometimes it's hard to get a reservation, on Sunday that's not an issue. I totally recommend it!
Great place for date, hanging out with buds, whatever – This is just a cool place to hang out. I've been going there off and on for years, and I've never had a bad experience. The ambiance is cool, the food is phenomenal, and if you take a date there, guaranteed impressive performance. Overall, the place has almost a "speakeasy" type of quality. You feel like an insider when you go, and the staff treats you accordingly.
Like all the other reviewers here and on other sites, I have to agree the place was cool, very well run, has a great outdoor(ish) patio --it's covered with not-quite-the-classiest plastic roof and curtains-- and if you're a good looking young-ish guy you will get lots of attention from the ever prowling cougars (older over-sexed ladies there to get laid). The food could have been better given the prices--dinner for two with one glass of wine each with tip and the mandatory valet parking runs about $100-$120. My lamb was so-s... read more
