my mom is currently in the hospital awaiting surgery. her nurse has been nasty to her all day. she has no toilet paper and when she asked for some, the nurse said "it's locked up cause it's like gold around here" . She has been wiping herself with the disposable parties they give you there. after 48 hours of being there and having external catheters leak , she is finnaly getting a sponge bath tonight. Starting to wonder if we sent her to the right hospital.

Quality of care was ok, but their billing department must be clueless. After almost 2 years of phone calls with their "managers" and Tricare reps they still keep sending me bills and payment plan options. Your CEO, Mr. Ehrat must be super proud of the billing and collections departments complete lack of competence and ability to resolve an easy $500 bill with Tricare. Any further correspondence regarding my account will lead me to seek legal representation under Fla. Stat. 627.736(5)(c). "The provider’s failure to submit tim... read more

Thank you Fawcett for taking good care of my mother, America Gomez. I especially want to thank the Food Services staff! Thank you Carole Averiss, Gail Rivera, Michelle Edwards, and Francisco Rivera. This team was well trained by Kristy Santiago (manager), and continues to be well led by the new manager, Tara. The FANS team rocks!

Business response:

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback, Yvonne! We'll be sure to share with our teams.

My husband was admitted through the emergency room. He went in with chest pain. They responded immediately and the flawless execution by the team was amazing. Every single person on the staff that we encountered was excellent!! Kind caring and on point! Shawn in the ER was so kind and helpful at a stressful time. Kristin and Dr Davis were so efficient and kept us at ease. Dawn with the cath lab was the best nurse. Judy the nurse on the second floor was wonderful our first night there. This hospital is above and beyond expect... read more

After only 2 weeks in the hospital, my 101 year old grandmother was released as a completely different person! She went from being able to walk around with her walker, going to the bathroom, and feeding herself all on her own... to being completely immobile... seems her muscles have atrophied, needing to keep a diaper on (does not use the toilet at all), and cannot feed herself! This all happened in 2 weeks! She was also released with a rash, and a pressure wound (bed sore) on her bottom. Very upsetting... you haven't heard ... read more

My 87 year old grandpa, Charlie Cook, has worked for Fawcett Memorial Hospital for 18 years as a groundskeeper. Never called in sick, never late for work, and worked 5 days a week. He loved his job and the staff loved him! Unfortunately, May 6th he was "laid off" due to the covid pandemic. He was told to call in one month later(beginning of June) to talk about getting back to work. He did just that, in fact, he called his point of contact, Ryan Stanley who is the Vice President of HHS in that district every day for well over... read more

My first experience at fawcett was as a nursing student doing clinicals. Something was off right away. Patients yelling and suffering as nurses and staff ignored them for the most part. They were labeled as difficult. My wife has had the unfortunate luck to have 2 major surgeries there. Her surgeon his surgery staff are amazing. This is in no way reflective of the hospital. After her first surgery she was in a room for 3 days with a roommate that Talked her ear off ate her food. When nurses and doctors came in there was no c... read more

My Mom was taken by ambulance to Fawcett on Sunday. sent her home with an Rx antibiotic. had to take her back Tuesday morning, she was so weak and Dehydrated. finally admitted but I'm not aloud in She is 96. service is horrible and can never get anyone to take her to the bathroom, they told her to wet the bed and they would come change her. yeah they leave her lying in it for hours. I was told to bring her depends to wear. what is this world coming to. Don't go there, the worst.
