I took my husband to the ER a few days ago. The triage team were great. We saw the doctor who determined a CT was not necessary, and if his blood tests were normal, he would be discharged. An hour later, I asked the receptionist if his blood test results were back. She said she'd check, but obviously did not. We sat there for hours. I've been to Fawcett on a couple of occasions, surgery only. Never ran across anyone who was unpleasant or unkind. Was always treated with respect, kindness, & concern. I work in the medical field, so I have people tell me all the time that I'm more understanding with wait times, busy schedules, & Drs running behind etc. This is probably true! Had my first experience with this hospital ER a few days ago and hopefully it was my last. The triage folks are the only reason for getting 2*, beyond them, zero.
I think I was treated fairly quickly because of my situation at hand. The whole staff was very professional and dealt with me with the utmost respect. From the time I walked in til the time I was discharged every staff from thevadmission lady. Radiology guy and my nurses and the doctor I left feeling confident they had me feeling better. I saw my primary care doctor today and more testing is needed but I need rest low stress and stay out of the heat as much as I can. Very good people. Clean facilities. Nice place to visit.
The staff has gone beyond what one would expect. Very professional, knowledgeable, sense of urgency,friendly, personable with a true sense of carrying. Nurse Terry Saunders is a true professional with 20 plus years at this hospital. My wife had a knee replacement. I have had several visits over the years and the staff is always consistent with care. It says a lot about management setting standards and getting results. DOUG and Claudette (Lane) Curtis. Food is very good.
