The Legend begins with beer—Busch beer to be exact. But this was just the beginning…In 1921 Anheuser Busch decided to open a drinking establishment in the picturesque river town of Alton, Illinois. A yellow brick building known as Bon-Air, was constructed right on the corner of three streets, 4th, Pearl and Broadway. Approximately ten years later, Busch had to sell the tavern due to a change in the statutes, which prohibited breweries from owning drinking establishments. Food great, beer cold, wonderful as always! We were there early on a Sunday for lunch and a few drinks. Waitress was sweet.
I love fast Eddie's although I live in Florida now..I'm black and I've never been treated bad there don't use the race card for everything. If you don't like it spend your money elsewhere. Case closed
Level of service is "iffy" depending on what day it is, inside or outside. Too many servers act like they are doing a public service by working here. And hovering near our table trying to encourage us to drink faster in the hopes we'll buy another $9 beer is precisely why we didn't and left for Grafton. Sure the food is still good, cheap, but not worth the poor service. Get some servers that can fake the best day of their life is occurring, rather than these bits having drama at home and taking it out on your customers.
