The Legend begins with beer—Busch beer to be exact. But this was just the beginning…In 1921 Anheuser Busch decided to open a drinking establishment in the picturesque river town of Alton, Illinois. A yellow brick building known as Bon-Air, was constructed right on the corner of three streets, 4th, Pearl and Broadway. Cheese burgers, fries & pork kabobs were perfectly cooked & very tasty. Beer was cold & the band was great (I love acoustical guitars). I didn't realize they had music 7 nights per week so entertainment was a surprise.
RecommendedThe last time I came out here (2 mos ago), the shrimp was quite mediocre. It bummed me out. This time was waaay different... delicious!! I'm glad they are back to the standard that made this place. I'd give 'em 5 stars if they hadn't done away with the Killians!!!

Don't know how they make it so good for so little
Always one of the first places we love to take family and friends when they come to St Louis. The food never changes -- always awesome! And the beer is the coldest anywhere.
