The Legend begins with beer—Busch beer to be exact. But this was just the beginning…In 1921 Anheuser Busch decided to open a drinking establishment in the picturesque river town of Alton, Illinois. A yellow brick building known as Bon-Air, was constructed right on the corner of three streets, 4th, Pearl and Broadway. my waitress crystal was awsome and my big Elwood was the best it was cooked perfect and it was my best first experience ive ever had anywhere!
Terrible treatment. Loved the food, loved the live music. Loved our server and bartender. Didn't appreciate getting assaulted at the exit for having a beef kabob in my hand. Literally batted & swung at, grabbed my arm and almost wrestled to the ground. No polite mention of the apparent "rule" that you can't exit with food that was already PAID FOR.
