The Legend begins with beer—Busch beer to be exact. But this was just the beginning…In 1921 Anheuser Busch decided to open a drinking establishment in the picturesque river town of Alton, Illinois. A yellow brick building known as Bon-Air, was constructed right on the corner of three streets, 4th, Pearl and Broadway. The cashier was beyond RUDE. After she insulted me 3 times my husband asked for a refund. He was then told he was over-reacting. He said that's ok, we won't be back. Her response..."good". I asked for her name. She would not give it to me...told me to speak with the manager. I did...the manager had no response or apology. First time there. We will NOT return.

Have always had a good time there� Been there at least once a year since 2005, til knee surgery, even took Amtrak for friends bachlorette 'sp' party. Over due for a visit.
