Piece of shit company. Read the reviews of other people who have been scammed by farmers ‘scam’ and seed co. Took my check and cashed it, kept my order tucked away in their ‘hidey’ spot. No response to the emails, phone is a busy signal every time you call. Save your money and go to your local nursery and get what you need. I can’t put minus ten stars for a rating because you don’t have that choice.

Had two separate orders from this company. Said I would receive free items with order. Ordered on 3/25/21. Still have not received the free items or any of one of my orders. If you call the “ customer service” number, you get a busy signal. No one responds to email communication either. I will do my very best to spread the news that this is a HORRIBLE company! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONDY WITH THIS HORRIBLE COMPANY!

I spent $175 at Farmer Seed last year. EVERYTHING was late ans shipped after I asked for a refund. Then of all the plants I bought, maybe 6 lived. Their 1 year warranty is a lie. They now tell me I was supposed to send a copy of the packing list ...... last year! If you are thinking of doing business with them ......... send me the money instead. I'll tell you right away I'm not going to send you anything, but at least when I keep your money, I'll say thank you!

Ordered several Trees and plants from Farmers seed and nursery , online, after receiving a catalog in the mail. They Took the money from my credit card and I never heard back. No invoice, customer service line always busy ( even when closed🤔.) Did not answer any emails that I sent through their link on the website. Started a fraud case with my credit card company to get the money back. Don’t order or trust these clowns. As far as I’m concerned, I was scammed out of my money by them.

If you order from any of the plant companies wit an Illinois address you will likely be disappointed and frustrated, and you will have wasted work, time and money. Buy locally or order what you can afford from a reputable seed/nursery. Burgess and Farmer Seed and Nursery are not reputable. Burpee and Gurneys are from my experience.

I purchased for the 2nd year in a row #6138 purple leaf plum hedge. Half of my purchased plants died from last year; 6 died six made it I did not save the label so no warranty. I purchased 6 this year to fill in; what I received was twigs some even had roots; I waited about 3 or 4 weeks nothing happened, I mailed in the shipper label I received a letter with the shipper label stating the plants are sent dormant. Nothing is growing two more weeks of temps in the 70's and 80,s will not change that. DONT buy via mail; the plant... read more

Never buy anything from this organization. They are scammers. I order over $100 worth of trees at the end of April. It is now June, nothing has arrived. When I call them the line is always busy. When I email them I get a automated response saying it takes 2-4 weeks. There is no customer service. I am now trying to get my money back through my credit card company and I cancelled my card just in case. I do not trust this company.
