I contracted an infection from a skin mite infestation from hotel bedding. The infestation was extensive and wide & deep burrows were visible on the skin. I was accused of self-mutilation wit mental health problems. This stigma followed me for years, and still does today while I undergo diagnostics for a cancer recurrence. I was not heard. I was not believed. Very tragic when a Doctor thinks they know everything.
