If the kids are bored with the video games and are yearning for something far from the ordinary, travel 35 minutes north of Branson to this spectacular underground chamber. Discovered in 1862 by a farmer's dog, these huge caverns are filled with stalactites and stalagmites. All tours take place on a guided jeep-pulled tram in order to preserve the natural features and each tour lasts about an hour. The underground temperature remains at or near 60 degrees, so dress appropriately.

Admission is pricy but it's pretty cool. The history is very interesting and the cave is beautiful.
Amazing and worth visiting no matter what age you are
I had a great little trip here today, was very easy to find even without gps, rick was a great guide, and the gift shop had something for everyone! I also love that a photo is taken, not everyone has cameras or phones so thank you!
Loved as a kid great place for a family day, but is pricey!!!
We enjoyed our time at the caverns. We have driven past many times in our trips from OKC to Pittsburgh, and we finally decided to stop. The grounds were beautiful, our kids loved the $1 popcorn, and the gift shop had reasonable prices. I agree with others that for the length of the trip the price is a little steep ($65 for a family of 4 including a free 5yo). The $12 picture could be included in the price of admission (1 free per group then pay for any additional sounds reasonable). It would have been nice to be able to get ... read more

I decided to check fantastic caverns out while visiting family from CA... Price wasn't bad IMO. I was a little disappointed when the tram started back thinking "that's it?!" But then it opened up to some beautiful sites. It turned out to be a great way to spend a couple hours while visiting a new environment.
We had a great time tour guide very knowledgeable
It was kind of a disappointment... Was nothing like the billboards. Also the guide was not very informative.
