About this business

If the kids are bored with the video games and are yearning for something far from the ordinary, travel 35 minutes north of Branson to this spectacular underground chamber. Discovered in 1862 by a farmer's dog, these huge caverns are filled with stalactites and stalagmites. All tours take place on a guided jeep-pulled tram in order to preserve the natural features and each tour lasts about an hour. The underground temperature remains at or near 60 degrees, so dress appropriately.

I was not overly impressed with the tour and the cost was a bit high ($25). The ride along concept is nice but with how small the cave is, it should have been a walking tour with a $15 entrance fee. My biggest complaint is the fact the tour guide didn't allow those of us at the back to take straight on pictures of the names written in coal of those that first explored the cave. Information given by the guide was nice and thorough though, which was good. There is a little gem to this place though; the hiking trail. Now that w... read more
