Fantastic Caverns

About this business

If the kids are bored with the video games and are yearning for something far from the ordinary, travel 35 minutes north of Branson to this spectacular underground chamber. Discovered in 1862 by a farmer's dog, these huge caverns are filled with stalactites and stalagmites. All tours take place on a guided jeep-pulled tram in order to preserve the natural features and each tour lasts about an hour. The underground temperature remains at or near 60 degrees, so dress appropriately.

This is my second trip to Fantastic Caverns. Its beauty is so great that I could not perceive all of it on the first trip. It's worth the drive and the money.

I'm so glad we stopped in after driving past it all these years. A lot of interesting history. I too wish the picture was included in price. Unfortunately I had to have my husband repeat some of the info to me because of a five-year-old boy sitting across from us that couldn't keep his mouth shut or his hands off his brother. It would be nice if you would suggest parents sitting between young children to spare anybody else in the future. You could say it was for safety concerns to keep small hands and heads safe.

Woman at counter upon arrival was rude and would not answer questions. Kept telling me that they would announce information over speakers. Bring first time visitor I wanted to have information prior to being called. Then no one can understand speaker anyway so everyone is looking messy running around wondering which color was called. We had to switch vehicles once we were loaded. The tour guide in front of us forgot to turn lights back off so we didn't get to do full darkness. One entire side in the car you have your back to... read more

It was super cool! I was fascinated by the stories of how formations were made, the shows that used to happen, and the tram ride was fun.

I liked it but felt that Casey wasn't especially friendly and seemed stressed. She even ended up overcharging me. She apologized and it wasn't a big deal but think it's an opportunity. I also felt that the tour was good but that it dragged along at points. Other than that it was a good time.
