History Established in 2002. Fairmont Aquatic Center opened in January 2002 as part of the Zoo Arts and Parks Tax. We are part of Salt Lake County Parks and Recreation department which consist of: nine indoor pools and 10 seasonal outdoor pools, 19 recreation centers, three ice centers, six golf courses, many parks, trails, pavilions and Wheeler Farm! Family friendly fun. Please shower before entering the pool. Great master mad age group programs available. We're lucky to have such a great facility right here in Sugarhouse!
