History Established in 2002. Fairmont Aquatic Center opened in January 2002 as part of the Zoo Arts and Parks Tax. We are part of Salt Lake County Parks and Recreation department which consist of: nine indoor pools and 10 seasonal outdoor pools, 19 recreation centers, three ice centers, six golf courses, many parks, trails, pavilions and Wheeler Farm! The teachers there are wonderful. The facility is so nice and very clean.
As a swimmer, I was happy to find this pool. Then I sadly realized that the lap lanes are rarely available for open swimming. Forget trying to swim laps here during the week - the pool is booked with groups. Also forget swimming here if you have a full time job. Booooo.
Great place and awesome staff!! Also the open hours are convenient for our family.
A clean and quiet lap pool with two glass walls looking out into a forested park populated with Canadian geese and seagulls...almost like swimming outside!
Great place, good aerobics instructors, and life guards.
We have attended and enjoyed many swim meets there. Very clean. Could use more parking.
