The guys were nice enough, although as soon as they knew I wasn’t going to buy that day, they were more indifferent than helpful. The car itself was a mess. The least they could have done is washed it. It wasn’t detailed at all. Which ultimately made up my mind anyway. If the car was that dirty, who knows what else was wrong with it. Brakes were grabby as well. A couple simple things that should have been caught before showing it to anyone, especially if trying to sell it. Good contact, but when I asked about the car in question being inspected (as in a multi-point inspection to verify everything worked on the car (150 point inspection)), I was told the car was inspected for safety, which did not fully answer my question. As well, when we see the more recent reviews for this dealership being worse than older reviews by customers, it inclines us to believe that customer care is deteriorating rather than improving at this dealership. Benny was excellent, got us a test drive, didn’t try to coerce me into buying a new vehicle. I was in and out in 2 hours.

I contacted them about the grey Volt, which they said had been reserved by someone else and was not available. However, I still see it listed on cargurus. I then followed up on a different Volt, drove up to Fairfield and test drove it Saturday. Fairfield Chevrolet has the concept of "one true price," non-negotiable. I accepted their price and they wrote up the offer, saying I could come back to pick it up after they completed the smog check. I never heard back from the dealership directly, having to call them multiple times.... read more
