RecommendedI just moved to the Jacksonville area and took my African Grey for her annual well birdie visit. The vet and the tech, both male, did a great job handling my bird who does not like men. Towards the end of the visit she was chatting and whistling and seemed quite at home. Her exam, which included drawing blood was handled efficiently. Dr. Colbert was both personable and professional as was the tech. I’ll go back when necessary and would definitely recommend. Thank you to all that referred this animal hospital to me!
on June 8th we said goodbye to my little man that had been going to this clinic for over 20 years. Dr.Stevenson, Shashy, Colbert and Broger have all treated my bird at some point in his life and they did such an amazing job with his euthanasia. the front desk staff was also extremely helpful suggesting things for his cremation box and footprint plaque. I highly recommend this place my bird has been boarded there for over 3 years on and off and they do a great job considering she's a naughty girl. Lol

Nani, our lovebird, had problems last year with her leg and her eye. We drove 2+ hours to have Dr Shashy do bloodwork and find out that she has borna virus. After several months of meds ( and for the rest of her life )she is back to normal. She had her one year check up today and she seems to be very healthy, but we'll know more when her bloodwork comes back. We love their great selection of toys and food!
I discovered exotic bird when my guinea pig had a ruptured mammary tumor. I thought my only option was a super expensive surgery or euthanasia. They worked with me on pricing & Dr. Shashy saved my little guinea pig and refused to give up on her because she “is too cute”. Through subsequent visits with an incision that took awhile to heal (many antibiotics, medications & wound care) Mocha is completely healed & healthy!
