I bought a car from Exeter in November 15, 2014 and I never paid anything toward the principal on the car. They always told me that I was still paying on the interest of the car and I was paying them $637.05 a month and I have pay them over $22,933.80 in interest so I gave them the car back and they still calling me and saying that I can get the car back if I pay them $2500. HIDDEN INTERESTED MARK UPS THOUGH I WAS IN A 9.95% INTEREST LOAN ENDED UP PAYING ALMOST 50% INTEREST MONTHLY
This company have their vehicle and is currently still reporting to my credit. I would like this removed from my credit which is bring my score down really low. Please stop reporting late or missed payments when your car is in your possession .This company is bad for business.

Very predatory lending. Exeter went into my bank account 4 times in one month after I set up two payment. They withdrew all 4 payments and caused me to over draft. I have yet to get a response for this. Also, They seem to apply your entire payment directly to interest in the beginning of the loan, after nearly 11k paid I have had on 2K taken off my principle after 18 months of payments. The BBB A+ rating and stars do not accurately reflect consumer feedback on Exeter. Exeter has a high number of consumer issues on this site and every other on the web. The company reports incorrect information to all credit bureaus repeatedly, consistently throughout the life of the loan. They send you letters stating what they reported is accurate, when you have the documentation from them that it is not. They bill incorrectly, overcharge and and do not resolve your account. This company is a joke. I fell a month behind on my payments but was able to make monthly payments to keep from falling more behind. They are claiming I am over 2000.00 behind. Saying one day they received a payment from me, but the next day they say they never received it. I've not only made my monthly payments, but $50 extra to help get caught up on the payment I missed. THIEF ALERT!!!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANYTHING!!! If I could give this company 0 stars I would. I have never missed a car payment nor have I been late. They stole over $600 from me this month and have put me through the ringer in getting it back. I set up automated payments five months ago for the 15th of each month. Exeter Finance is by far the worst finance company ever. If you don't have to get a loan with them DON'T! They treat their customers like ****, even the good ones like myself. My GAP company mailed out a check to payoff the final balance on my loan almost 2 weeks ago. As of today the check has still not been applied to my account. This company is extremely crooked. I am curious how much they have paid the bbb to keep that rating with 501 negative complaints. Most regarding collection tactics and billing issues. I had an issue where i made a payment and was told no late fee. However they charged one.
