From start to finish, Dr Kim and his staff provided support and gave needed instruction that paved the way for no worries on my part. Dr Kim's personality was a reassuring presence that gave me confidence that never wavered through out the entire process. My husband and I waited 2 hours but those are the best 2 hours worth waiting! If you know you have the best doctor you wait for him I knew he was the best after all the research I have done... After he examines me he knew that my problems were not coming from my back but somewhere else. He was my third opinion the other two doctors wanted to operate right away! Highly, highly recommend the gifted Dr. Kim and his wonderful team. My L4/L5 surgery resulted in a remarkable, life changing difference in the quality of my life!!!! Pain before surgery was 9/10. Leg numbness & tingling was constant. 6 weeks post -op my pain level is 1/10 with zero leg numbness/tingling. And I'm in my mid 80's! Results far exceeded my expectations! I researched and considered many surgeons. I'm so glad I went with Dr Kim! Just wish I would have done this sooner to save myself years of pain.

I had been suffering from right leg pain caused by scoliosis and sciatic nerve impingement causing almost constant pain with any activity. It will be 5 years in July since I had fusion surgery by Dr. Kim. Before surgery when I walked about a block or moved boxes of items I would have back pain. I went to Dr. Kim, he had me do several test & said that I needed fusion surgery to repair my lower back. He said that after about one month I would not have any lower back pain. I fear that Dr. Choll Kim may have misdiagnosed so an epidural steroid injection was recommended. The epidural gave me two adverse reactions with the second one nearly killing me. Dr. Kim and his assistant Jennifer Blevins never explained that those types of reactions were possible. Blevins told me that the epidural was going to be very safe because the person who would be providing the injection (Dr. Timothy D. Chong) does them for a living. I’m sure Dr. Kim agrees. In 2012, Dr. Kim treated me for severe pain in both my legs due to bulging L3-L4, L4-L5, and L5-S1 discs with moderate bilateral neuroforaminal narrowing and a small posterior annular tear in one of the discs. I had sciatica pain for years, but it had become debilitating in 2012. Dr. Kim performed a minimally invasive discectomy on my L5-S1 disc, which eliminated the pain. It's been over 4 years since the surgery and I still have no pain. I highly recommend Dr. Kim.

I had a lumbar disc herniation that caused debilitating pain for six months. Surgery was my last option after months of physical therapy. Based on my research, I could see that Dr. Kim was one of the top spine surgeons in the country. Dr. Kim performed a microdiscectomy surgery to repair my disc herniation. The surgery was 100% successful and the results were immediate. It has been 2 1/2 years since my surgery and I have had no pain. Dr. Kim truly gave me my life back

I am an orthopedic surgeon and came from Arizona for his care. I was quite pleased in every aspect! His staff was courteous and helpful. Dr Kim took time to listen to my concerns and address them thoroughly.
