Set aside some rent-controlled/ subsidized units-- it is the right thing to do for the community and is pretty much the only way you can recover from the sick burns delivered in the comments below.
This "investment" in the Delmar Loop is nothing but a veiled effort to push out and exclude communities that have lived in this area for generations. I want housing that intentionally and respectfully serves ALL members of the St. Louis community, not housing that selectively markets itself to a certain type of buyer (i.e., predominantly affluent, predominantly white students). As a student, I would never, ever opt into this sort of housing... here, in St. Louis, or any location where Campus Advantage has properties.
