A classic locally owned restaurant that truly takes you back in time. Excellent food served with a smile.
Good home style southern cooking at reasonable prices. Definitely will return.
I'm a local who has eaten there for years, especially on Wednesdays when they used to have that amazing fried eggplant. Sadly, the food is no longer what it used to be. The meatloaf was okay, but all broken up in chunks. Bland institutional gravy. Stewed cabbage was loaded with sugar. Even the lima beans had sugar added (and no smoked pork seasoning). Microwaved tough cornbread. Cold limp fries that were sent back for replacement (which were much better). I hate to see that it has gone so far downhill since its heyday.

Been passing by for years with my husband wanting to try it and I finally did yesterday! Good bye IHOP and sunrise grill, this food was made with love! Best omelet I've ever had!
It was a awesome breakfast will be back soon! Such nice waitress too!!
