Such a lovely place to relax but for 4 glasses of wine gin & tonic appetiser and 1 dessert was 64 pounds we will be having our night cap else where . £10 for a large wine we could have bought a lovely bottle for £40 pounds feel like we where totally ripped off . I was in the restaurant trade for years but I must say I now work hard for my money as a single mum and was horrified when the bill arrived . Be careful
A group of us came here for some drinks on Saturday night for my brother's 30th birthday. It was a family get-together that I had flown back from Glasgow to attend. Pleasant enough atmosphere in the piano bar - drinks ridiculously overpriced though. £11 for a G&T is daylight robbery. Second round of drinks ordered which they brought over to our table. Barman managed to knock an entire pint off his tray which landed all down my (bright red) dress, tights, coat, new suedette shoes and bag. I mean the full pint. As you can imag... read more
Stayed there for a night with my wife last night. The room was massively overpriced as were the drinks. So £200 room only I paid and they put us in a room next to the elevator so through the night that was all we heard...there was no toilet roll in the toilet and the window was broken. Personally I was disappointed about the service as I explained in checking out. Beautful hotel overall. Lovely room, very tastefully decorated and plenty of space. We just wanted to hang out in our room all evening. Best part was the dash of whiskey in my porridge in the morning - loved it. Delicious breakfast with attentive wait staff. Impressive elevator system. Would definitely come back again.
