Jack DeRosa was responsive, timely, and professional during the project. He was the only contractor, among many estimates I obtained, who mentioned and had drawings made for the project. I am amazed at how quickly and entire new roof, including reframing, can be accomplished. I would recommend Essex Home Improvements to anyone.

The crew was on time. They did an excellent job. They clean up after themselves.
Essex Home Improvements replaced my entire roof for my colonial home. Worked performed was removal of old material, installed plywood and shingles (to be brief). Also, the house did not have soffet ventilation for the main and porch roof. They installed that as well. A 10 man crew started at 8AM and the job was done no later than 7PM the same day. I'm impressed and very happy with my new roof. Class A work.
This is a family-owned business, and Jack is a delight to work with: always professional, responsive to phone calls, he keeps you in the loop at all times.
Excellent, fast work; the owner and staff personally came to start and do the final inspection of the work once it was done, and went over it with me prior to making payment. Jack (the owner) was great - very personable, reasonable, and no BS. Wonderful to deal with.
I would highly recommend this contractor. My first impression was one of honesty- he was the first contractor that did not recommend replacing the roof right away and tried to save the current roof. Being that the roof had to be replaced anyway due to severe/sudden damage, Essex Home Improvements did a wonderful, fast job of replacing the roof. Workers also made sure the property was clean after the job.
Wonderful person. No lies, no gimmicks, just straight forward, professional business tactics. On time, mannerable, quick to answer any questions I had. It was a tough choice, as Essex was one if my final two. I would not hesitate to use them in the future.
