House roof looks okay, but they also did garage and in the WRONG color. Workers were loud, but real problem was this was the messiest crew I ever saw. I had roof done in last house, did not have any of these problems. This was horrible, yard is absolutely ruined. Also, communicatioon with the workers was an issue and owner was no where to be found. Absolutely do not hire this company.
Mr. De Rosa did a perfect job. I was totally satisfied with his work

Essex was hired to replace 2 old layers of asphalt shingling over original cedar shakes on my 1935 Colonial. Right from the get go, I received immediate response from Jack, who was always reachable. I interviewed over 7 roofers and Jack was one of two roofers who actually took the time to get up on the roof to inspect it as well as the attic. Jack's team did a great job with our exterior siding. Jack also helped to connect us with general contractors for a kitchen upgrade we did at the same time (with Jack often coordinating the work). Overall we are thrilled with the quality of both jobs. Importantly, I didn't feel like we were nickel and dimmed to death once we put terms on paper. Great experience.
Essex did an excellent job on our roof, gutters, and siding. The work began one week after the estimate meeting and all the work was completed a week and a half from that meeting - that is definitely fast and efficient. We were well-informed of all the work that would be done and when additional work had to be completed after issues were found with our existing roof, they were clearly explained. It was a pleasure working with Essex Home Improvements. I am always leery of working with contractors as I have been burned in the past a couple of times. Jack Derosa of Essex Home Improvements immediately put me at ease--he offered a thorough exam of what needed to be done. His contract was clear and easily understood. I found Jack and his work crew to be great contrtactors, they where professional, accomodating, affordable, and on time. they dealt with the many problems and obstacles on the job with my best interest in mind. I would and will use them again.
