good eats – I thoroughly enjoyed my meal here. The owners are very visible and set a tone of welcome and efficiency. I've enjoyed my meal each time that I have eaten at Erte.
Hip and groovy, man – Erte is a great place to eat! The food is presented in a delightful manner and the ambiance is groovy.
BEST RESTAURANT FOR BIG PARTIES – Last friday night, me and 9 of my friends went to Erte to celebrate a birthday. First off, the restaurant was packed, and our table was set up and waiting for us (which made me very happy)! 2ndly, we had the best server - she knew everything there was to know about the menu - made great suggestions for the table and we found her to be an absolute delight to have around - and boy oh boy was she around. YIKES! – Oh boy. The waitress was never around. And by never, I mean never. Then, the menu said Halibut w/ Basil cream sauce on a bed of corn. My halibut came out in a pool of cream corn mess that was 1" deep. I was looking for a soup spoon to eat it, but it had no taste! I thought if I could wade through that to the fish I would be OK. better than manny's – The house steak at Erte could go head to head with those of Manny's. Two nights before our visit to Erte we ate at Manny's, and surprisingly enough, we liked Erte better! The service was laid-back, not lacking, and the food simply can't be beat (nor can their prices)! We'll be back again and again. You've gotta try this place!
hidden gem – I brought friends visiting from out of town here last week, and we were all pleasantly surprised by this little northeast gem. We took our server's recommendations and tried both of the special halibuts and their house steak. The food was absolutely delightful. And their wine list was a great surprise to us as well. Service was cheery, knowledgeable and courteous, and everything was overall quite exceptional. Disappointed – Very disappointed with the service. We had to track people down to help us with drinks, to take our order, etc. The food was good, but the service was terrible. I will not go back because of the service.
