My experience across multiple Erlanger locations, including the main hospital, VW, and Riverfront, raised serious concerns about documentation, communication, and accountability. We had to go in for a semi-emergent pregnancy event. There was a rotating door of doctors and nurses in the department; communicating neither with us nor each other. We just got strung along from day to day with minimal updates, unable to plan our lives in one of our busiest work weeks of the year. The sanitation is, and I cannot stress this enough, absolutely unacceptable. I recently had Neurosurgery at Erlanger. The pre surgery staff was great to work with. This is not my first surgery at Erlanger so I knew what to expect. The surgery went off as expected, although I was very sick after the surgery which I had before so not totally unexpected. It was really bad this time. I give all the credit to the staff on the ward who put up with me for 5 days, they were very caring and friendly. I was very pleased with the surgical ward staff on the 6th floor.
