Never had an issue and has given me great rates.
After a major rain storm my power went out for 14 hours. Which in turn cause my sump pump to stop working, which in turn allowed about 4 in of water to accumulate in my basement. Due to the fact that it was a power outage I have insurance coverage for that situation. I called my agent afterhours left a message waited 3 days to hear back. Horrible! They don't communicate with the customer. We was with State Farm for Approx. 30 years. For Approx. 30 years they took the insurance payment out of our checking. We did not realize you needed a special rider policy if your sump pump breaks and water backs up into your basement and causes damage. I would think this would be in every policy. Let me start off by saying, I agree with everyone who have commented thus far. State Farm is not a "good neighbor." My dad and I have been customers of State Farm for a few years now. This is the best insurance company I have ever dealt with. I am so happy with the services they provide. They are always happy to answer any questions I have and they are always there to guide me in the right direction.
We had a storm hit our area in april of 2018. My tile roof was damaged badly by the hail and wind. State Farms field adjuster told us the roof was a total loss. We have four witnesses that heard her. She told us we would be getting a new roof. We have had numerous roofers and experts in this type of roof agree that the roof is a total loss. State Farm has continued to delay and deny. The biggest mistake of my life was buying insurance from this agent. I got punished for using my insurance policy. After collection my premiums for 25 years he dropped me for filing a water damage claim. I have never met or received any thank you letters from this agent or his staff for my business over the years, but after I filed a claim, the discontinuation letter came so fast it made my head spin. We arranged to get home insurance for a house we were about to close on at the end of April, 2019. They charged our credit card BEFORE the closing, on April 23. When the closing fell through, we asked for our money to be refunded. It is now SIX WEEKS later and we still have not received a refund for money that should never have been charged in the first place!
I was involved in a car accident back in 2016. State Farm's insured was at fault. I started to settle my claim in Nov 2018. My claim adjuster is Mr. Izykowski. Since then I have only been given a run around. I had to email him several times, left him voice mails and most of the times he was irresponsive; claimed to have not received email or voice mails.
