With a gorgeous view of the Oakland Bay Bridge, the interior of Epic Roasthouse is a stunning accomplishment by famed restaurant entrepreneur Pat Kuleto. There are large windows, rich fabrics, and a large fireplace making the restaurant warm and inviting. A very busy place, if you don't have reservations the wait can be quite long. Luckily there is a full bar upstairs at which you can wait and have a selection of fine wines or cocktails. For dinner try the A5 Miyazaki Wagyu Steak or the Tuscan Style Porterhouse Steak.

Menu says 20 ounce New York, but steak was more like a 12 ounce with 1/3 of being bone. So when you cut away bone you end up with 8 ounce steak. I recommend Osso Steakhouse for a as advertised in menu steak.

We had a private dinner with 140 people tonight. Just as service was beginning one of our guests suffered a seizure and was taken by ambulance. This caused a 20-minute delay in the risotto starter, the steak/chicken and tuna main courses. Chef Dirk Tolsma and his staff did an amazing job of holding the food so that it was PERFECT even after this delay. All staff were helpful, professional and concerned for the welfare of our worried and frightened people. Epic Roasthouse is in a class all it’s own.

Food was very good especially for a holiday menu. The service was not. Our waiter paid little attention until we called him over, we had to ask for bread & to take our orders. For a higher end restaurant, service should have been better.
Epic Steak not only lives up to its name but the view is also pretty epic over the Bay Bridge. We had the best filets and the drinks were also fabulous. They made a custom cocktail for my liking which was really sweet and they comp'd my husbands birthday dessert. We sat in the right part of the restaurant which is outside friendly it was a great experience and server Shawn was on top of things and had great recommendations. Thanks so much for an amazing evening. It's a must do in SF!
