With a gorgeous view of the Oakland Bay Bridge, the interior of Epic Roasthouse is a stunning accomplishment by famed restaurant entrepreneur Pat Kuleto. There are large windows, rich fabrics, and a large fireplace making the restaurant warm and inviting. A very busy place, if you don't have reservations the wait can be quite long. Luckily there is a full bar upstairs at which you can wait and have a selection of fine wines or cocktails. For dinner try the A5 Miyazaki Wagyu Steak or the Tuscan Style Porterhouse Steak.

Beautiful views of the Bay Bridge Lights. Steaks were just okay. Julia Child’s potatoes were amazing. The staff was excellent and attentive.

We dined at Epic on July 9, 2018. I have eaten there several times previous, and brought my family on this trip based on those previous experiences. We were disappointed. Our bill, for two adults and two children, was $349.75, including the 5% surcharge that the restaurant volitionally chose to impose on customers to cover its employees health insurance costs. The view was good, that’s about it.
LOVE the food, atmosphere AND staff! Can’t forget the drinks, either. Great IPAs and rose/peach non-alcoholic beverage, if you’re looking for something refreshing which won’t have you wobbling (especially if you’re a little person with not much capacity for volume!😜).
